COACH CARLY ACADEMY🦮

Kind Training.

Clear Guidance. Lifelong Skills.

Coach Carly Academy is being developed as a welcoming centre for reward-based dog training, practical owner education and real-life learning.

The Academy will bring together small group classes, private coaching, behaviour support, free resources and future educational programmes designed to help dogs and their people succeed together.

Every element is being created around welfare, kindness, clear communication and practical progress.

Training Built on Trust

Coach Carly Academy believes that effective training begins with understanding the individual dog.

Dogs learn most successfully when they feel safe, supported and clear about what is being asked of them. Training should strengthen the relationship between dogs and their people rather than rely on fear, force or intimidation.

The Academy approach combines reward-based methods, practical coaching, thoughtful progression and skills that can be used in everyday life.

Welfare First

The dog’s physical and emotional wellbeing guides every training decision.

Reward-Based Learning

Desired behaviours are taught and strengthened through appropriate reinforcement.

Clear Communication

Handlers learn how timing, movement, criteria and reward placement affect learning.

Real-Life Results

Training is designed to help dogs and owners succeed outside the training environment.

Meet the Coach Carly Dog Training Academy Team

Coach Carly Academy began with one woman, two rescue dogs and a determination to understand dogs more deeply.

Teddy and Moose have shaped the Academy’s values, humour and commitment to training the dog in front of us.

Carly is developing Coach Carly Academy while completing her professional dog-training studies with the IMDT.

Inspired by her rescue dogs, she is building an Academy centred on reward-based training, clear owner guidance and practical support for everyday life.

Moose

Moose

Co-Founder & Chief Happiness Officer

Moose is a small Chihuahua with an enormous personality.

His journey from a frightened rescue dog to a much-loved family companion continues to influence the Academy’s focus on confidence, patience and celebrating small steps.

Teddy

Teddy

Co-Founder & Welfare Ambassador

Teddy has helped Carly understand anxiety, communication, individual needs and the importance of adapting training to the dog.

He reminds the Academy team that behaviour always has a reason and welfare must come first.

Coach Carly Academy grew from Carly’s experience with Teddy and Moose, two rescue dogs who arrived with fears, needs and very different personalities.

Learning to understand them sparked a complete change of direction. Carly began studying dog training, behaviour, learning theory and canine communication while continuing a long professional career in executive support.

She is currently preparing for her IMDT assessment and developing the Academy in advance of her planned return to Kent.

The years spent living in the Middle East have formed an important part of this journey. They brought adventure, challenge, personal growth and the opportunity to rescue Teddy and Moose.

The Academy represents the next chapter: bringing that experience home and creating a kind, professional dog-training community in Kent.

Teddy and Moose inspired a complete change of direction in my life. Learning to understand their fears, needs and personalities became the foundation of Coach Carly Academy.
